About me

I am Peter J. Crowe, an experienced and accredited psychosynthesis counsellor and psychotherapist working in the South West of England.

My training psychosynthesis was both through the Institute of Psychosynthesis NZ in Auckland and at the Institute of Psychosynthesis in London. I hold diplomas in Psychosynthesis counselling, therapeutic counselling and psychotherapy, and an MA in psychosynthesis psychotherapy accredited by Middlesex University. 

I am a registered member of the UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy), of PaNZA (Psychosynthesis Aotearoa New Zealand Australia) and a member of the APP (Association for Psychospiritual Practitioners). I am consequently bound by the ethical frameworks of each of these professional bodies. I am also a member of PCSR (Psychotherapists and Counsellors for Social Responsibility) and am actively involved in the ecopsychology movement. I am a citizen of both the UK and New Zealand .

Alongside my counselling and psychotherapy workI, I provide business coaching and organisational facilitation. I am also a practicing artist, writer and musician. 

Between 2004–2012, I worked as a senior lecturer at Auckland University of Technology (AUT). While teaching at this university, I gained an MPhil in Management and a Postgraduate Diploma in Art & Design. My studies included art, design, systems theory, innovation and management and these subjects inform my teaching, coaching and therapeutic work.

I am based in Devon and operate a city centre practice from The Practice Rooms at 15-16 Castle Street, Exeter EX4 3PT and at 57-59 High St, Westbury-on-Trym, Bristol BS9 3ED. I also offer ecotherapy in local environmental settings as part of Ecotherapy Exeter.

In addition to my professional qualifications, I regularluy attend CPD (continuing professional development) workshops, trainings and events to refresh and update my knowledge. To date, these have included:
